Dimensionair replacement

Replace your Dimensionair dial. Keep your tooling.

The Air Gage Pro goes on the bench where your Dimensionair sat and connects to the air plugs, rings and setting masters you already own. Changeover takes under 2 minutes. No new tooling, no re-training.

Which Air Gage Pro replaces your readout?

Match by the model on your readout or the tool code on your plugs and rings. Low- and high-amplification tooling don't interchange, so each group has its own model.

Your readout Amplification Tooling Replace with

One unit replaces several dial models

A dial readout is built for one amplification, so a plant often runs D-2500s, D-5000s and D-8000s side by side. The Air Gage Pro M5-L covers all four low-amp models with one part number, and the M5-H covers all four high-amp models. The digital display shows the reading at the resolution you need, up to 6 decimal places in inch or 4 in metric. Fewer models means fewer spares and one set of operator instructions. More in air gage amplification explained.

Changeover in under 2 minutes

  1. Remove the old readout from the bench.
  2. Connect your existing plugs and rings to the front quick-connects, then shop air and power.
  3. Master and measure on one master at nominal, same as always, on a dial view your operators already read. Now it's digital and color-coded.

New dial or digital?

Analog Dimensionair dials are still sold new. Here's what changes when you go digital instead.

Analog dial readout Air Gage Pro
Reading Pointer on a graduated dial, read by eye Digital value, color bar graph or dial view, green/yellow/red against tolerance
Inputs 1 per readout 1 or 2 per unit, up to 3 characteristics on screen
Setups Tolerance marks set by hand 10 stored programs, loaded by touch or QR code
Data Written down by the operator USB export to Excel/CSV, RS232 to SPC, Modbus RTU
Your tooling and masters Stay the same

What you gain

Faster changeover

Scan a QR code and the whole setup loads: tolerances, masters and screen.

Data out

USB export to Excel/CSV and RS232 for SPC. No more writing readings down.

Locked-down programs

Password protection keeps tolerances where engineering set them.

Built for the bench

Sloped housing guaranteed for life against breakage, with filter-regulator and pressure gauge built in.

Replacing more than a few?

Questions

Will my existing air plugs and rings work?

Yes, if they are single-master tooling for your current readout. Choose the M5-L for Tool Code 20/50 (low-amp) tooling and the M5-H for Tool Code 5/10 (high-amp) tooling.

Do I need new setting masters?

No. Single-master tooling uses one master at nominal size, and you keep using the masters you have.

Is the Dimensionair discontinued?

Analog Dimensionair dials are still sold new. The Air Gage Pro is a digital alternative that connects to the same tooling and adds stored programs, color tolerance zones and data output.

Does it replace Federal EAG columns?

Yes. The M5-L replaces EAG-31xxx and EAG-32xxx columns, and the M5-H replaces EAG-33xxx and EAG-34xxx columns, using your existing single-master tooling.

How long does the changeover take?

Typically under 2 minutes per station: remove the old readout, connect the tooling, air and power, and master.

I'm not sure which amplification I have.

Check the model number on the readout (D-2500, D-10000 and so on) or the tool code on the plug or ring. Or call (815) 242-0027 and we'll match it.

Can one unit run two stations?

Yes. The 2-input models run two gages, A and B, on one screen.

What about two-master (min/max) air gaging?

Use the Air Gage Pro M5 Dual. It works with two-master plugs and rings of any brand.

Do you offer volume pricing?

Yes, for multiple units. Use the request form on the fleet upgrade page or call (815) 242-0027.
