Look up any Dimensionair® dial air gage by its Mahr / Federal order number or its D-number, see its magnification and tool code, and find the digital Air Gage Pro that replaces it. You keep the air plugs, air rings and setting masters you already own.
Where to find your order number or model
- Order number: a 7-digit number starting with 2095 or 2098 (for example 2095184 or 2098125), on the label on the back or bottom of the gage. Older Federal units may also show a D-number, such as D-2500.
- Magnification: printed on the dial face, such as 2500:1 or 10000:1. The magnification is the model: a 2500:1 dial is a D-2500.
- Tool code: stamped on your air plugs and rings (5, 10, 20, 50 or 100). It must match the readout's amplification group.

Common questions
Will my Dimensionair air plugs work on the Air Gage Pro?
Yes. Match the amplification group: tool codes 20 and 50 go on the M5-L, tool codes 5 and 10 on the M5-H. Your setting masters stay the same too.
What is the difference between order number 2095184 and a D-2500?
Nothing. 2095184 is the order number for the inch 2500:1 dial, which is the D-2500. The order number tells you inch or metric; the D-number tells you the magnification.
Is the Dimensionair still made?
No. Mahr has discontinued the Dimensionair dial gages and now directs buyers to its Millimar C1202 electronic amplifier. Whatever you decide, your tooling is the expensive part, and the Air Gage Pro lets you keep it. See your options when a Dimensionair is no longer available.
