Metro propose solutions for:
- dimensional measurement by contact, with its full range of probes from three different technologies
- Inductive probes (analogue) : Half bridge with Tesa compatibility.
- Digital probes, for wider possibilities of connections
- Linear encoders, for a high precision in a large measuring range
We are also Heindenhein and Magnescale resseller
- non-contact dimensional measurement, mainly pneumatic measurement. Metro has modernized this measurement technique by making it more efficient and accessible.
The Half Bridge or LVDT inductive probes technology has been known for over 100 years and enables to offer a products range covering most of the needs in dimensional control.
Metro proposes 3 types of inductive sensor. Each of these 3 types is available in several versions.
These probes are perfectly adapted to be used with our displays. Incremental probes are highly accurate optical gauges designed for use in application where accuracy is required along the whole measurement range. Linear encoders are available with TTL or 11µA or 1Vpp output.
Digital Probes
The digital probe brings important improvements with regards to the existing technologies. The digital probe consists of the probe itself and of its electronic head. The digital probes have the same dimensions as the conventional probes and can be installed with similar mounting arrangements. They are either spring or pneumatically actuated.
Measurement Modules
Block gauges are primarily motion changers or mechanical interfaces that sit between the component and the measuring sensor. It is adapted to application where a standard pencil probe won't fit.
The block gauges are available in 2 versions. The first is fitted with precision linear bearings, the motion of the second is ensured by flexures without sliding parts that give an extreme life duration without degradation of performance.
