What is a Transducer?

Without the right equipment, determining the amount of pressure an air gage produces is nearly impossible. With one of our Stotz transducers, however, this becomes much easier. These pressure transducer sensors are widely used in automation to convert the air-gaging signal to an electronic signal used by the PLC, making it possible to read and analyze.

Of course, there is more than one kind of these air to electronic transducers. Through our storefront, Stotz offers a variety of transducers, including analog and digital, depending on your application. The three main types of Stotz transducers we offer are listed below, and you’ll find further details explaining how they work. Regardless of which one you choose, you can rest easy knowing that you’re getting a quality product because here at Air Gaging LLC, we only offer the best. Get yours today to start getting better results from your air-gaging equipment.

Types of Transducers

PEW

The pneumatic-electronic converter outputs an analogue signal in the range + -10V proportional to the measuring signal.

The response time is 250 ms.

SPW

The Fast Pneumatic Transducer is used for dynamic measurements.

The converter outputs an analogue signal in the range + -10V and has a response time of 30 ms.

DSPW

The Digital Fast Pneumatic Transducer is used for highly accurate dynamic measurements.

It has a response time of 40 ms and supports the following digital data interfaces: Ethernet, Profibus, Profinet, Ether Cat, CAN, RS232.
